Why Good Reading Habit is a Must?

I have a unique educational background. I spent initial thirty years (from primary education to doctoral degree) of my life in a residential campus. Whenever, I happened to spend my summer or winter vacations with my family in a small village, I used to be more than delighted. I had all the freedom to do whatever. Spent time in the mango and guava orchards, played kabbadi, went for horse riding to cattle round ups, and went fishing with my friends in the Mahananda river.

In the middle of this, my father never forgot to remind me the significance of good reading habit. He often said, “If you do not open books (read) for more than three days, your education is dead.” Now, I realize what he meant. He stressed on the fact that education is an ongoing process. And reading, an integral part of the process, helps develop the basic ability of logic, language, athleticism and arts.
