Poynter's e-learning project, News University

Poynter’s News University offers training to journalists, journalism students, teachers and the public through more than 150 interactive e-learning modules and links to other journalism education and training opportunities.

Currently, I am taking some of the self-directed courses such as News Sense: The Building Blocks of News, Newsgathering Law & Liability: A Guide for Reporting, Language of the Image and Religion, Culture and Society: Getting Beyond the Cliches. I find these courses highly informative and insightful.

You can also visit MediaCollege.com and CyberCollege. MediaCollege is a free educational website for exclusive tutorials covering video & television production, audio work, photography, graphics, web design and more. You'll also find utilities, reference material (e.g. user manuals), industry news and a helpful forum. And CyberCollege offers award-winning course in video and audio production.
